This privacy statement describes how Klasroom handles personal data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Below you can read which data we process, why, on what legal basis, and what rights you have as a data subject.

Article 2 – Personal data we process
Depending on the service, we process:
- Contact details of parents/guardians: name, email address, phone number
- Student data: name, school, class, level, support request and progress
- Appointment and request data: chosen service, date and time, remarks
- Billing and payment data: address, payment status and payment references
- Camera images at our location
- Website data: IP address, device and cookie data
We receive this data directly from you, and for student data usually from the parent or legal representative.
Article 3 – Purposes
We process personal data for:
- Performing our agreements and providing tutoring
- Scheduling appointments and handling requests
- Communication, administration and billing
- Improving our services and website
- The security of persons and property, on-site and online
Article 4 – Legal bases
Processing is based on:
- Your consent
- The performance of an agreement
- A legal obligation
- A legitimate interest, such as security and internal evaluation
Article 5 – Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, data portability and withdrawal of consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@klasroom.nl. We respond within the statutory period.
Article 6 – Cookies and tracking
Klasroom uses:
- Functional cookies required for basic features such as session management
- Anonymized analytical cookies, for example through Google Analytics
- Tracking and advertising cookies, including Meta Pixel, only after your consent
Tracking via Meta Pixel takes place only after explicit consent through the cookie banner. More information can be found in Meta’s privacy policy. You can change your preferences at any time via the cookie settings on our website.
Article 7 – Camera surveillance
Klasroom uses camera surveillance inside and outside the location, solely to protect persons and property. No live monitoring takes place. Images are kept for a maximum of 28 days and are only viewed in case of a legitimate reason.
Article 8 – Processors and sharing with third parties
We share personal data only with service providers that process data on our behalf (under a processor agreement), when required by law, or with your explicit consent. We engage the following categories of service providers, among others:
- Hosting and storage of our website and systems
- Email and communication services
- Billing and payments, including WeFact and Mollie
- Website and usage analytics, including Google Analytics
- Advertising, including Meta
We never sell your data to third parties.
Article 9 – Transfers outside the EEA
Some service providers process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. In that case we ensure appropriate safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or a valid adequacy decision.
Article 10 – Minors
For students under the age of 16, we always ask permission from a parent or legal representative before processing personal data.
Article 11 – Security
Klasroom takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss, unauthorized access or unlawful processing.
Article 12 – Retention periods
- Student and customer data: up to 2 years after termination of the agreement
- Requests without an agreement: up to 12 months
- Camera images: up to 28 days
- Administrative and tax data: 7 years (statutory period)
- Website statistics: up to 14 months

Klasroom may inform you of new services or offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email or by emailing info@klasroom.nl.

Our website contains links to external websites. Klasroom is not responsible for the privacy policies of other parties. We recommend reading their statements carefully.
Article 15 – Complaints
You can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) if you believe your rights are not being respected. We would appreciate it if you contact us first.
